Okafor's law

Apologies to the non Naija among you
Okafor's law is a well known(??) Nigerian truism
Rough translation : You can always end up having sex with an old partner if you (ahem) had previously satisfied the partner's 'needs'
For awon boys and girls you no say I no fit yarn de propa ting for internet
Now I do not know who Okafor was, nor why his 'law' has such gravitas still
I wonder did Okafor have a string of ex's whom he kept going back to purely because of his prowess
Or was Okafor simply unable to resist the advances of an old flame
Now needless to say there is the potential for significant fallout from such actions
A scene from vanilla sky springs to mind where Cameron Diaz is in the car with Tom Cruise and she says:
"Don't you know that when you sleep with someone, your body makes a promise whether you do or not... Four times... it means something, David"

Now this demonstrates the danger of erm being too good especially when going back to an ex partner and for those who saw this movie you know what happens next
So perhaps there should be corollary to Okafor's law such as:
never sleep with said exes more than a couple of times each without strict contract/guidelines which all parties sign up to,for fear of unexpected emotional backlash .
or at the very least when you do so ,dont be as good as you once where and just go for yours (not something most men have difficulty with).
Failing that leave immediately post coitous, change your address, phone #,email, job etc

At the end of the day though the question has got to be asked why are you still going back to your ex partner(s)?

End of an Era

18 months gone by

MBA is over now have to look to the future :-(

Makes me think of all the eras that we go through in life

KC: Teen years guess it’s the closest I came to my own version of the wonder years. The Apapa gang. Everything was new girls , parties, girls, cars, girls

Hull: guess it was all about adventure. New country, new life time for figuring out exactly what, who I was away from the definitions of home.

1st job: Glad that one’s over probably hardest 3 years of my life. Word to the wise never undersell yourself. Hardest thing I ever had to do and the implications linger on. Well that’s a lesson for my next stop off on the job thing. So if anyone’s out there with a £50k + job offer for an MBA I am your man

MBA: More about rediscovery - personally and professionally

thankful

For the beauty of life

For the warmth of love

For the company of friends

For the lessons harsh

For the necessary failings

For the desires unmet

For the joy

For the pain

For the hope

For all that is past

For all that is now

For all that is yet

For each moment

For each word

For each touch

For the ones without which I could not be

For the ones no longer

For the ones whose line has drawn so long

For the ones just begun

For the ones who will stand with me to the end

For the ones just for a season

For each truth revealed

For the mysteries remaining

For my strengths

For my failings

For striving to be better

For laughter

For tears

For all that I have shared both with

For the moments of darkness

For those who brought me to light

For the music

For silence

For love
